SHAHEDNEWS: Hamas officials have stated that Israel's ongoing attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza are only possible due to strong support from Western governments.

According to SHAHEDNEWS, Basem Naim, a senior member of Hamas' politburo, emphasized that the Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza, particularly targeting hospitals, could not occur without the backing of these nations. He highlighted that the protection from Western powers has emboldened Israel's military actions.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Gaza Health Ministry reported that Israeli forces have raided Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia twice within the last 24 hours. During these attacks, Israeli troops opened fire and detained male medical staff while confining women in one of the hospital rooms without access to food or water. The ministry described the situation inside the hospital as "alarmingly deteriorating."

Currently, around 600 people, including patients and medical staff, are present in Kamal Adwan Hospital. Tragically, two children lost their lives in the intensive care unit after the hospital's generators failed, a consequence of the Israeli strikes targeting oxygen facilities.

Hamas condemned the silence of the international community as Israeli forces stormed the hospital and took the lives of children inside. The organization stressed that the ongoing violence against Palestinian people draws political and moral responsibility from global institutions.

Kamal Adwan Hospital, a critical facility for northern Gaza, is now facing severe shortages and urgently needs assistance, according to health authorities.

United Nations Human Rights Chief Volker Turk described the situation as "one of the darkest moments of the Gaza conflict." Similarly, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization, stated that the agency has lost communication with personnel at the hospital since the Israeli raid, calling the situation "deeply disturbing" given the number of patients sheltering there.

Israeli military actions have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 42,924 people in Gaza over the past year, according to local health officials. Reports indicate that the United States, Israel's closest ally, has provided nearly $17.9 billion to support Israel's military efforts throughout this period.
