SHAHEDNEWS: The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle may be returning to acting with a role in the Netflix series “The Gentlemen,” according to media reports.
According to SHAHEDNEWS, Despite claims over the weekend an offer had been withdrawn due to public backlash, Prince Harry’s wife is still in talks to appear, according to The Sun newspaper.
“Her return to acting is expected to draw a large audience of both her supporters and critics, and is likely to make a lot of money,” a source reportedly told The Sun. “It will be seen as a major coup for whoever signs her.”
The Hollywood Reporter said the duchess was in advanced talks to appear in a third season of the series created by Guy Ritchie. Another Hollywood publication, Deadline, said the discussions were “hypothetical,” given that the show has not yet been renewed for a third season. The second season is scheduled to be released next month.
Deadline also said no role has been identified for Meghan, who starred in the US cable TV drama Suits from 2011 to 2018. Netflix and a representative for Meghan and Harry declined to comment to Reuters.
The reports follow the surprise news that Harry, who stepped down from official duties in 2020, will return with Meghan and their two children to live in Britain from their current home in California.
